Many of our events take place in other parts of the country. We've offered these events for Harley-Davidson at places like the Tennessee Motorcycles and Music Revival and the 120th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration in Milwaukee. We have also traveled to other areas doing the same thing for dealerships and other groups, and can come to your area to help grow your local ADV community. We are partnering with existing training facilities like Grit Moto Adventures in Utah, and some new venues in Colorado and Nevada.
We can also arrange events near your local riding groups or dealer networks. These events range from single-day or two-day training clinics to full, multi-day rallies with training as part of the festivities, and campfire fun at night.
If you are interested in bringing AdvMotoPros to your area, send us a message. We have details ready to share with you.
Please reach us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes, mostly.
We train you on your own adventure bike. But we now have access to rental Pan Americas from Bartels' Harley-Davidson with additional protection for off road use and training.
Motorcycles are also available for rent through outlets like riders-share.com and local motorcycle dealers, but you must verify that a rented bike is allowed to be used off road and for off road training. Send us a message with your experience or bike-specific questions and we'll have the answers.
Full-face or modular helmet, sturdy boots with full ankle coverage, full-finger gloves with padded and reinforced palms, leather or textile jacket and pants with armor (knees, hips, elbows, shoulders, and we highly recommend a spine protector), or full armor worn under a jersey.
There will be campgrounds and/or hotels available near all of our training locations. When you register for an event, you will receive an email with full details and suggested lodging options.
We recommend having 3,000 miles or at least one year of motorcycle experience on the street before enrolling in our courses. Message us with more questions about your riding history and we will be happy to help.
If you want to learn to ride these bikes off road, you have to accept the idea that you will eventually drop your bike, especially during training. Dropped bikes are common in the adventure segment, and no one is immune...not even us. Scuffs and scratches are part of the game, and we stopped worrying about it years ago. If you truly want to ride these bikes for their intended purpose, you'll eventually get used to a few drops.
