AdvMotoPros holds regular 1-day adventure riding clinics. These are abbreviated versions of our full 2-day curriculum, and include the skills we feel are the most important and confidence inspiring. We keep the groups small to ensure we can cover these most essential skills in a single day. The day is longer and paced a bit faster with less repetition of each drill, but will still give you an understanding of the basic concepts involved with riding large adventure bikes on varied terrain. And as with all of our courses, lunch is provided.

This course is our full 2-day adventure riding curriculum. The course includes discussion of our techniques, and why we teach these concepts. We want to give you a comprehensive understanding before we begin riding exercises. We also discuss the enemies of the adventure rider; tension and anxiety. And we offer solutions to help you avoid them.
These 2-day courses cover more drills and exercises than our 1-day clinics, and are paced slower with more time to practice each new concept before moving on. All skills are designed and ordered to build on each other in a natural progression that helps you gain confidence without jumping into something completely new at each new exercise.
We will also help you find lodging if coming from farther locations. In many cases, you can camp at or near our training site or find a room nearby. And if there are several students camping, our instructors may camp with you and share the magic of the campfire, and explain the way we pack our motorcycles for extended backcountry trips.

We have many saved routes and trips we've used in the past, and this year we are hoping to offer training trips. These trips happen on the easiest routes we have, and we stop periodically to conduct training. These will be camping trips only, no hotels. This way we can offer them at a reasonable price with an overnight stay along the way. We will haul your gear for you and have it at our campsite so that you are not required to train carrying it. In some cases we will set up camp first, and then spend a day riding and training before coming back to camp. We'll break camp in the morning and have our support vehicle take your gear to the end point while we finish another day of riding and training.
Check back often to see when these trips are scheduled.
This is a new program we will begin testing later this year. It is very similar to our 1-day adventure riding clinic, but with an interesting difference.
These courses are for riders who have already completed one of our training courses (or another similar course from a different training provider). Previous training is mandatory.
These courses allow you to hone your skills while carrying gear. We know that the purpose of learning to ride an adventure bike is to gain the skills and confidence necessary to take on multi-day journeys in the backcountry. We also know that riding a bike fully loaded is much different than riding a bike with no gear strapped to it. Some discover the difference the hard way, and we want to offer you the opportunity to get accustomed to the load by performing the same drills with some weight on the bike.
In this 1-day clinic, you have the choice of carrying your gear or simulating it with sandbags tied to your luggage racks to avoid damaging your luggage.
This program is still in development. If you are interested, check back regularly or message us for more details.
We also offer add-ons to most of our training programs.
Get to Know Your Bike: this additional package is conducted prior to our other training programs, and is specific to adventure bikes from Harley-Davidson or BMW. In this short tutorial we cover ride modes, menu settings, rider aids, tips, and tricks to help you better understand your adventure bike. We are experts with the BMW GS/GSA and the Harley-Davidson Pan America. We do not offer this add-on for other bikes yet.
Warmup Before Training: This is a 2-3 hour "warmup" prior to training that covers several of our basic skills while focusing on relaxation and proper vision and balance. You will ride relaxed versions of some of our drills without worrying about your performance. Instead you will be concentrating on a relaxed, neutral riding position, a loose grip, and allowing the bike to move around freely under you. This add-on can give you the confidence you need before we begin training. This is one of our most popular add-ons.
If you are a dealership or a riding group that wants AdvMotoPros to bring training to your location, we offer this service as well. We have done this many times, traveling the country to help build your local adventure community. You will need to identify a potential training site first, and then we can work out all of the details for you. These trips are all customized for your needs.
